Facebook VS Snapchat. So when Snapchat launched, the trend hit off with a bang, with people quickly hopping on the app store and downloading the app. Now in 2015 there are over 100 million users, but after they became quite powerful, Facebook came along and tried to buy them out… Well that didn’t go according to plan, they fully denied them, even with the generous amount of money offered to them! So the battle began between Facebook VS Snapchat.

This didn’t go down too well with Facebook, usually what Facebook want they get, so they have tried different things over the last couple of years to see if they could compete, but nothing has come close. However, in the last month they have been testing something new in France. ‘Self Destructing Messages’ In a nutshell; One user can send another user a message and then they can set a time for when the message deletes so 1 hour, 2 hours, you get the drift. This could be revolutionary with Facebook, they could finally be competing on the same level as snapchat…Facebook VS Snapchat Facebook, Facebook news, Facebook CEO, Snapchat, Snapchat news, Snapchat CEO, Snapchat VS Facebook, Snapchat statistics

You can see from the picture above, that after one hour, the persons message just disappears.. Cool right?

The users will be able to touch an hourglass icon on the message which indicates that the message will disappear after a certain amount of time. I personally like the sound of this! I will be interested to hear what the users have to say about it! I have a feeling the battle between Facebook VS Snapchat has only just begun, Facebook have a lot of backing so lets see how Snapchat react.
