Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Army Parachute Association to do a skydive,
Let me start this off by saying a huge thank you to Julia and Rob for setting this whole thing up, last week I attended the Army Parachute Association base to do a Tandem Skydive, I have to say it was probably one of the best experiences of my life.
The Army base is based in Wiltshire, it isn’t hard to find and all and the directions to get there is very easy. Once arrived we checked into the reception area and we signed some forms and was ready to go. Then the other people arrived, so at that point we had some training with the Army people, it was about 25 minutes long and was well needed, they are stern and formal, which is what you need before you go 13,000 feet in the sky. The make sure you are mature and safe enough to go in the sky which is good that they are, they teach you how to stay calm and be ready to go up that high.
Once the training is done and dusted you are ready to go, they get you in the Army Parachute outfits and you are ready to go in the sky! Before I knew it we were climbing very quickly! Once we got the right level, It was the time to jump out the plane! I was the first one out as well, It was weird, I wasn’t scared at all.. I was so excited!
The best moment though was, the exact moment you start to fall out the plane. You are looking down, above the clouds feeling like the world is at your finger tips! It was the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I would recommend it to anyone, I’m already trying to persuade my friends and family to do it with me again.
Before I knew it, I’m back on the ground, and as I touched the ground, my first I was saying it ‘Can I go back up?’ If you are scared to go skydive, don’t be! It will be the best thing you ever do! It’s not scary at all, and the people there make you feel very safe and explain everything to you!
Keep your eyes peeled though, I also have a video! It should go live this weekend! Fingers crossed, I can’t wait to show you guys, the video is so cool!
